How to Clock In and Out

Who this is for: MyShyft Caregivers working through the app

Accurate clock-in and clock-out records are required to ensure your hours are verified and your pay is processed correctly.

You are responsible for:

  • Clocking in at the start of your shift
  • Clocking out at the end of your shift
  • Making sure your time entries are accurate

How to Clock In:

Before you begin:

  • Arrive at the facility on time
  • Confirm you are at the correct location
  • Be ready to start working before clocking in

To Clock In: 

  1. Open the MyShyft app
  2. Navigate to the confirm shifts tab
  3. Within the shift, click on “clock in”
  4. Confirm your clock-in was successful

** You must be at the building to successfully clock into your shift.

How to Clock Out:

At the end of your shift:

  1. Complete your assigned responsibilities
  2. Give report or handoff if required
  3. Open the MyShyft App
  4. At the top of the home page click on the “Clocked In” button
  5. Click on “Clock out”
  6. Confirm your clock-out is successful

If you forget to Clock In or Out:

  • Submit a “Request Hours Correction within the shift to ensure timely payment

Tips for Avoiding Payment Delays:

  • Forgetting to clock in or out
  • Clocking in or out not within the building location
  • Not submitting a Request Hours Correction
