Each Caregiver sets his or her own individual hourly rate based on that caregiver's experience and qualifications.
You send a "shift request" via the app or website for a single shift needing to be filled. We have a duplicate button for ease in posting multiple shifts.
Pay-as-you-go via credit card or weekly facility invoice sent via email. You are not charged or billed anything until the shift is completed.
Caregivers respond to your "shift request" and you select or "hire" them from the list of people who respond.
MyShyft is a mobile application and website which serves to bridge the gap between professional caregivers and those facilities, agencies, and families needing help.
We provide a platform for trusted, convenient, and affordable caregivers to connect to facilities, agencies, and families, on-demand. Caregivers can be found through our map feature, which lists nearby available caregivers who are ready and willing to help.
With MyShyft, you can send a shift request to all nearby caregivers. Your shift requests are made for individual shifts or what we sometimes call “care visits.”
Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our careseekers and caregivers. MyShyft maintains $3 million in liability insurance and encourages each caregiver to obtain their own liability insurance as well.
We also perform a background and identity check on every caregiver applying to work a shift, and provide rating and feedback for each caregiver. Some caregivers have even linked their Facebook and LinkedIn profile with MyShyft in order to add another layer of verification and trust.
We also have a unique and state-of-the-art caregiver screening process developed by our very own Dr. Patrick Monahan, Ph.D in Educational Measurement and Statistics, and professor of Biostatistics.
For facilities and agencies, we also verify that the caregiver's license is active, perform an LEIE check, and verify a negative TB test was done within the prior twelve (12) months.
As part of our attempt to streamline interactions, all payments are handled via the app. This ensures convenience, as well as protection of your financial information. Payments are processed through a service called Stripe, which can easily be linked to the user’s bank account for payment and deposit. Our platform also provides a time-clock that keeps track of working hours.
MyShyft was conceived by its Founder, CLO, and Elder Law Attorney, Clifton A. Dennis, in November of 2015. When volunteering at an AARP event, Cliff wondered if there wasn't a more efficient and cost-effective way to connect caregivers and families. With many people becoming more familiar and comfortable with using technology, Cliff assembled a team to develop an app that would connect caregivers to those families who need assistance with their loved one.
